Confession: I’m not a shrimp person at all, but I’m totally making these and substituting chicken (you did know you can do this, right?) They look divine!
Mr. 1915 is definitely a meat and potatoes guy, so when I came across this recipe, I knew this would be something My Man would love. Sweet, spicy and savory combined with fork-tender beef? He will love this. Now we just need a smoker! ;)(Father’s Day gift idea? Hmmm…)
These Pineapple Chicken Kabobs had me at hello. Who doesn’t love food on a stick and when you’ve got your meat and veggies all on one stick, you’re set! Less dishes to wash and satisfaction galore. Find some great kabobs here and these kabob grilling baskets are cool, too!
Ok, I know we all have our own ways of doing burgers, but let’s be honest. There are burgers, then there are BURGERS. These are the second kind. 😉
This recipe may or may not have had me at “stuffed burgers”. So many great tips and tricks here that we’ll be trying! What will you stuff YOURS with?
Ok. Before we go any further. I feel it only fair to warn you. The next contestants in our line up look evil. I mean pure, delicious, drool-inducing, eyes rolling back in your head…DELICIOUSLY EVIL. As in, we are totally making these this week.
*Now before you get all “hot-dog-snobby” on me, we’re not talking the .79 per package hot dogs here. No way. Bypass the junk and go for the good stuff (no fillers or artificial junk/nitrates stuff please). And take a look at what can be on your plate TONIGHT!
Right?? ‘Nuff said.
The Flavor-Makers (marinade, dry rub and sauce options)
Summer just isn’t summer without peaches – and this BBQ sauce is a great way to think outside the box and use peaches to bring a whole new level of flavor to your meal. I’m thinkin’ this would be great on almost anything – let your imagination run wild!
This dry rub Mr. 1915 and I created last summer still makes us go gah-gah. 😉 It’s simple, delicious, and so easy to customize. Not to mention, it makes everything taste better – chicken, pork, steak, veggies, burgers…you name it! These cute little mason jar shaker lids make for great storage and easy application.
This marinade whips up in a snap – just dump the six ingredients in your blender (I love my Ninja!) for a quick spin then pour over your chicken (or pork, veggies, what-have-you) to marinate while you go about the rest of your day. (These containers are perfect for marinating!)
When suppertime rolls around, you’ll have a delicious meal on the table in less than 30 minutes. Quick and easy!
Grill Recipes for Sides
What’s a cookout without some delicious side dishes? While these may not be the star of the show, they play a key part in rounding out a proper meal.
Let’s start with Potatoes, because they seem to be a favorite of most people (my husband, included).
These cute little packages couldn’t be easier. And you just *know* the smell of garlic and herbs roasting with the potatoes will have mouths watering everywhere. 😉
This recipe keeps it simple with NO parboiling (precooking) of the potatoes ahead of time! Just slice, season and throw on the grill. I dare you to not eat a single one before dinner is served! (Betcha can’t do it) 😉
Confession time: I’m not a huge potato person (I know…I’m weird) – but fresh veggies on the grill? I’m all over that!
I usually just skewer sliced peppers, onions, mushrooms, and zucchini and grill up a few big kabobs, but if you have lots of people to feed, THIS is the way to go. You’ll have a whole pan of grilled veggie goodness with no hassle of making a bazillion individual kabobs. Or, if you like a little char on your veggies, these pans are perfect!
I hope these ideas gave you some new grill recipes to try this summer! I know I’ll be on the hunt for a smoker for Mr. 1915. 😉 (Shhhh….secrets)
