Some days we are so amazing, aren’t we? We hit the floor running and the to-do list almost completes itself! We make great choices, our family loves everything we do, we get the kids to school on time – WITH healthy lunches packed and smiles all around. (bask in the glow)
And then some days, the alarm didn’t go off, the kids don’t wanna get out of bed, the house looks like an F-5 tornado passed through it, the kids are lucky to get gummy bears and cheez-it’s thrown into a bag for lunch and your 10 year old tells you *as you’re walking out to the van* that he’s “so sorry, but he totally forgot that he has to bring 26 cupcakes to class to school today for a class party”. (there’s not enough coffee in the world to fix this morning. bless.)

(OH….and pssst…there’s a GIVEAWAY at the bottom of this post!) π
So close to amazing.
I want to show you something.
In my hand, there’s a book. And I think you might need this book.
I needed this book, too. More than I could have ever imagined.
Meet KariAnne
I’d like to introduce you to my friend, KariAnne.
I met her at Haven (a blogging and DIY conference that I went to this summer) – and immediately fell head over heels for her. π I mean, I already loved her writing style and her blog makes me drool…but to meet her in person (she was my mentor at Haven!)…well…I was smitten.
KariAnne isn’t one of those “big bloggers” who has let her success go to her head. Nope. She’s one of the most down-to-earth, genuine people I’ve had the pleasure of knowing. I know you’ll love her, too.
She has written this bookΒ and I simply must share it with you.Β I don’t usually say much about what I’m reading unless it’s impacted me so much that I can’t help but share it.
This is one of those books.
KariAnne had me laughing out loud before I even got through the introduction and then a couple chapters in, I was wiping tears as she poured out her heart onto these pages.
And ya’ll. She even shares some of her DIYs in here!! *insert all the heart eyes*
It comes out on September 5th Β and is sure to be your most favorite fall read. A book you’ll reach for again and again.
AND if you pre-order it *before September 4, 2017* through Amazon, you get their price guarantee – which basically just means that if the price drops at any time before the book launch, you are sure to get the cheapest price possible. I love that about pre-ordering through Amazon!
AND (another and) – when you pre-order (remember, orderΒ BEFORE 9/4/17) you get some fabulous bonuses! Check them out!
Virtual Launch Party Invite
Go behind the scenes with KariAnne on September 5th and help her celebrate on launch day. Giveaways, a book reading, party pics and so much more. Get your exclusive invite with your pre-order purchase. Note from me: a virtual party with KariAnne?? I’m IN! She’s such a blast!
Celebrate 2018 in Style!
This downloadable 12 month calendar features beautiful graphics and quotes from the book. (It’s GORGEOUS, I’m telling you!)

Oh, and between you and me…
That gummy bear and cheez its lunch? They’ll be ok, momma.
Give yourself grace.
Hug those kids when they come home from school and laugh about the crazy morning you had. Life’s gonna throw you a curveball once in a while. Laugh in the face of the disaster and peel off that stuck-on gummy bear.
Some days are amazing…and some days…we’re so close.
And it’s all good.
I’m GIVING AWAY a SIGNED COPY!!
KariAnne is so sweet, and kind, and generous, and ALL THE AMAZING THINGS that she sent me a SIGNED COPY to give away to one of YOU!!

Hi, 1915 House πΏ
Oh my word…how can one be forced to picked a single favorite thing about fall?! ππππ Since I love EVERYTHING about fall, I will list the single negative thing…it just never lasts long enough for me! I want it to keep going on and on and on…like a good book. And speaking of books, that one looks like a real TREASURE!
If I don’t win, I may just have to sneak over with a cup of tea and browse through yours on the front porch π
I totally know how you feel – I love everything about Fall!!! π Have a lovely day!
Thanks for the wonderful chance to win this book. Fall is my 2nd favorite season because of the new changes in leaves, and it feels like the beginning (for me) of that snuggle with a good book time, and refresh the house with fall colors.
Have a wonderful week – your kindness does not go un- noticed. Bless you & your entire family.
It does feel like a new beginning! And a time of slowing down and snuggling in. Thanks so much for stopping by and best wishes to you in your entry to win the signed copy of So Close to Amazing!
Have a great week, too!
Best things about Fall are crisp mornings with hot tea, wearing pretty sweaters and boots, my makeup not melting off.
ooohhh..that sounds delightful, Melanie!! π
I love the feel of fall when you step outside. The air has a crispness to it, the sound of leaves crunching as you walk. The sky seems bluer and clearer. Fall is my favorite season!!!
Sigh….you hit it spot on. I love all those things, too! π
The changing colors, the mountains around here are amazing when the aspens, shrubs and grasses are all turning golds, reds and orange and the pine trees are making a beautiful backdrop!. It always springs me into wonderful fall decorations! A beautiful time to be outside!
You’re absolutely tight, Jenna! The colors of fall are one of my favorite things, too! Happy Fall, Friend! π <3
I love the Fall colors and the cool weather!!!
oh, me toooo!!! π Nothing better….
You know that fall isn’t my favorite season, but I do love hot apple cider with cinnamon sticks and the smell of burning leaves!
Apple cider with cinnamon and burning leaves are such lovely parts of the season!! Here’s to pink pumpkins and a long summer (for you). π <3
I LOVE sweatshirt season! Also, the excitement of school and routines.
Me, too, Kelly!! π It’s like a brand new fresh slate! π
What a fun giveaway! Thanks for hosting! I’m looking forward to a break in the humidity that fall weather brings! But that won’t be for a while yet!(I’m already a newsletter subscriber!)

I love So Close to Amazing! It’s one of favorite books so far this year!
And it’s helped me so much to have a label to put on those less-than-perfect days and moments. It helps me laugh and see the funny side to call it #soclosetoamazing, instead of focusing on what feels like failure to me.
Have a wonderful week!
Thank you, Deborah! And I couldn’t agree more! Have an *amazing day*!! π
Best book I’ve read this year!!!!!!?
